Launch of a new offer with advertising on Disney +: how to avoid them?

Following in the footsteps of Netflix, SVOD platform Disney + announced on May 10 the launch of a new low-cost subscription service including advertising. Already available in the US since the end of 2022, this offer will be available in Europe by the end of 2023. ^[1] . 

At the launch of this new subscription in the US, the platform raised the price of a classic subscription from $7.99 to $10.99. This considerable increase will certainly be reflected in France. As a result, the classic subscription will rise from €8.99 to €11.99. ^[2]. It's a significant increase, and one that users are dreading.

This new offer will force users to watch commercials, which will be broadcast as follows: at the start of a film or series, four 15- to 30-second commercials can be broadcast over a one-hour period. An offer that remains unpleasant for the French. In fact, according to a study conducted by Iligo, 75% of French people appreciate ad-free monthly subscriptions and don't want to watch them. ^[3].

To save money and continue paying for your Disney + subscription at a lower cost and without advertising, other solutions exist.
